Exothermic Welding

Exothermic Welding is a professional process of exothermic welding method of making electrical connections of copper to copper, or copper to steel whitout any outside source of heet or power required. Exothermic welding connection are solid copper molecular bonds that are do not loosen or corrode throughtout its life time in grounding system, these bonds are superior conenction of most reliable and best longevity used for grounding, lighting protection, cathodic protection and other severe infrastruate construction.
Exothermic Welding mould is the pure graphite-made which can withstand continous heat-cooling cycles of larger wire diameter or larger weldmetal cartridge size, which facilitates burn-off of cable oxidation. The resulting connection is larger than a standard mould connection. Exothermic Welding mould has desiged and manufactured more than 10000 mould in different catigories for wolrdwide application. We have carried out many unique and customized application as well, utilizing our proffessional engineering & esearching capacity.

Advantage of Exothermic Welding

Current Carrying capacity is greater than conductor.

No aging deteriorate

Permanent molecular bonding that will not loosen and corrode

Low labour cost

No specail skill required

No outside source on heat or power needed.

The Procedure of Exothermic Welding

The Exothermic Welding connection is a molecular weld. The weld has the same melting point as copper. This factor along with the increased cross sectional area of the connection and the following insure:

1. Exothermic Welding connections are not affected by a high current surge. Tests have shown that the electrical conductor will melt before the Exothermic Welding connection, when subjected to high short circuit current. Consult IEEE Standard 837.

2. Exothermic Welding connections will not loosen or corrode at the point of weld. There are no contact surfaces or mechanical pressures involved.

3. Exothermic Welding connections have acurrent carrying capacity equal to or greater than that of the conductors.
